The City of Sarasota achieved LEED Cities Gold certification by earning 62 points out of the possible 110 points available across nine credit categories as illustrated. Some of the most significant strategies that contributed to the certification include the City’s focused approach in managing their transportation and land use; greenhouse gas emissions; enhancing resiliency towards climate change risks, and sea-level rise; and innovative practices and strategies to address regional priorities such as the development of the trail network
