Hamoda is a seasoned sustainability advocate with over fifteen years of experience in climate action. As the Director of Client Development at ClimateFirst Building Solutions, he manages and supports business development, cultivating client relationships to promote a climate-resilient real estate sector. Previously, Hamoda was Corporate Solutions Manager at Morningstar Sustainalytics, where he applied his analytical, technical, and communication skills to support more than 100 clients in assessing their sustainable financing initiatives.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Hamoda led the technical affairs, communications and sustainability programs at the Qatar Green Building Council and coordinated sustainability integration efforts for a variety of projects. As a LEED and WELL Faculty, Living-Future Ambassador, Regenerative Practitioner, and LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Facilitator, Hamoda facilitates sustainability strategies, advocacy, and planning. This builds on his studies in architecture and a Master of Environmental Planning degree from Italy that allowed him to focus on sustainability integration within urban development.
In addition to his consultancy and advocacy work, Hamoda is an experienced coach, capacity builder and lecturer. He assists in the development of lectures, trainings and engagement workshops for industry professionals and clients, covering topics like regenerative development, resiliency integration, sustainable finance, green building planning & design strategies, wellbeing, circularity, climate actions and net zero pathways.
