Exploring LEED v5: A guide to the first public comment

LEED v5, the next version in the LEED green building certification program, is being developed as a significant step in the process of aligning the built environment with critical imperatives, including decarbonization, ecosystem conservation and health, wellbeing, equity, and resilience.

This version is a representation of what we have heard from LEED project teams, volunteers, USGBC members, stakeholders in the industry and many others about the needs driving decisions across the built environment, and the drafts reflect the work of our dedicated LEED committee volunteers. During the public comment feedback periods, we are seeking the input of all stakeholders. This input will be incorporated as we refine the drafts into what will be the newest version of LEED.
